Gynecology
Dr. Kathryn Wood specializes
in serving women's health care needs in a sensitive, considerate
and confidential environment. The doctor's highest priority is
the well being and satisfaction of her patients.
Dr. Wood's expertise is in the medical
and surgical management of a wide variety of gynecological conditions.
She offers routine gynecological care, including pap smears, clinical
breast exams and birth control. In addition, she specializes in
the treatment of infertility and various hormonal disorders, such
as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Both ultrasound and colposcopy
(used to evaluate abnormal pap smears) are offered in the office
for the convenience and comfort of her patients.
Another area of specialty for Dr. Wood
is the care of women who are experiencing mid-life issues, including
ostopenia (a pre-osteoporosis condition in which decreased bone
density begins), osteoporosis (a chronic condition of significant
bone loss) and menopause.
