Female Sexual Dysfunction
Every Woman Deserves A Satisfactory Sex Life
Sexuality is an important part of every woman's physical and emotional
health, and often a central factor in feelings related to self-esteem.
A sex life that fills your needs and leads to greater intimacy
with a partner contributes to a sense of well being.
But sometimes, there may be a concern; sex doesn't feel good or
you're not satisfied. Maybe you don't have any desire in the first
place.
An occasional problem should not be cause for worry. However,
some women may have a persistent complaint. They are frustrated
or unhappy. For them, a satisfactory sex life is an elusive goal.
No Longer A Secret
The National Institute of Health recognizes female sexual dysfunction
as a serious issue for women of any age, young or old. Some experts
even estimate that up to 50 percent of the female population may
have some type of sexual dysfunction at some point during their
lives. When dissatisfaction or frustration is included in that
category, the numbers may increase to 75 percent.
Help Is Available
Fortunately, talking about sex is no longer a taboo. If you are
concerned that you might have a problem with sex, be sure to talk
with the doctor. Medical help is available. You don't have to
suffer silently.
