Advanced Photofacial: Recapture the Smooth, Even, Unblemished Skin You Were Born With!

If bleaching creams, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels haven't helped with your brown spots or patches and your texture and pore size aren't what they used to be, Advanced Photofacial will help you achieve your skin care goals! Advanced Photofacial drastically reduces or removes sun spots, age spots, freckles, and brown patches. It also stimulates deep collagen, causes pores to tighten and skin texture to smooth and tighten after just one treatment!

What is Sun Damage?
Let's face it-we have all spent time in the sun we regret. In fact, sun damage (also known as photoaging or photodamage) is the main culprit behind coarse, deeper facial wrinkles, freckles, age spots (also known as sun or liver spots), leathery skin texture, dull-colored skin, and enlarged pores.

But I'm Not a Sun Worshipper.
Experts agree: most sun damage originates from incidental, or everyday, exposure. Look at your left cheek and left arm. If they have more spots, larger pores, and slightly rougher texture than those on the right, you are seeing the effect of chronic sun exposure from driving without wearing sun protection. Depending on how advanced your photoaging, facial wrinkles may be visible only when you speak, smile, frown, or otherwise show emotion. If photoaging continues, collagen production in the dermis decreases at the rate of about 1% each year, leading to more lines and sagging skin.

Advanced Photofacial is Better
Photofacial technology is very dependent upon the laser being used. For the past couple of years, there has been only one photofacial technology that produced good results. This technology is the dominant one used throughout the D/FW metroplex. But the Advanced Photofacial with Solar Genesis Skin Therapy at Dermalase is the most recent technology with superior results to any other photofacial technology. It is twice as fast and requires half the treatments for superior results-and no messy gel!

What Will I Look Like After the Procedure?
Immediately following each treatment, the treated area may be pink or slightly red in color, similar to light sunburn. This will fade after two to twelve hours. Patients may return to work or other normal activities (avoiding sun exposure) with or without makeup directly after each procedure. During the forty-eight hours following your Advanced Photofacial treatment, most hyperpigmentation will darken, resembling pepper flakes on the skin. Your practitioner may recommend an exfoliating treatment a week following your Advanced Photofacial in order to reveal the less highly pigemented and smoother skin beneath.

Is it Permanent?
Advanced Photofacial with Genesis Solar Therapy is the most permanent solution to photo-induced pigmentation. As with any procedure, maintenance may be required. Maintenance recommendations will vary, depending upon your level of severity and lifestyle.
